Market Status:
Open

The following information has been supplied for the tax treatment of UK investors only.

The qualification for the tax treatment of wine estates admitted to VSX Wine Estate Stock Markets by the UK HMRC is largely dependent as to which VSX market the individual company has been admitted.

The three main tax treatments affect shares that qualify for
  • The Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS)
  • Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs)
  • Self Invested Personal Pensions (SIPPs)

Wine estates Listed on the VSX Official List Market will not qualify for EIS status.

Companies Listed on the VSX Official List Market will not qualify for EIS status.

Stamp Duty

VSX Wine Estate Stock Market  is not a Regulated Market but an MTF, however, it has not applied for Recognised Stock Exchange status with HMRC. Securities listed on VSX Wine Estate Stock Market   would not meet HMRC’s definition of “Listed” and, provided they were not "Listed" on another Recognised Stock Exchange, being admitted to trading on VSX Wine Estate Stock Market would not interfere with a company's ability to qualify for EIS.
